A moment of silence to baseball contemporaries

It has been a very sad week for the sport of professional baseball. The death of a promising young pitcher, Nick Adenhart, along with the loss today of the eccentric pitcher for the Detroit Tigers, Mark "The Bird" Fidrych and Harry Kalas, the voice of the Philadelphia Phillies. I hate it when a sport gets one whammy after another, but that's life. Just make sure you tell those who you are close with that you love them and what they really meant to you in your life.

Thumbs up to our elitist government!!!!

Man, what a great country we serve. I mean literally!!!! I guess with all this bailout "lottery" that the Obamamaniacs and company are reaping and having a filthily happy time squandering away our national tax dollars at excessive free will, I guess things that used to matter most don't mean a flipping thing anymore. Especially when it comes to national security and defending our nation against terrorists.

After just reading a story tonight, I am sorry and saddened that one of the elitists I am talking about, Defense Secretary Robert Gates has decided to can a futuristic military weapons facility that was to be manufactured in Elgin, Oklahoma. (In case you wonder why I called Gates an elitist because he is a member of the Bilderberger Group and Trilateral Commision, along with Obama and Clintons, amongst others, which are secret societies that are the leaders and promoters of a one world government, which has been prophesied heavily in the Book of Revelations.) This small town in southwest Oklahoma was expecting a major boom in their economy due to the selection of the plant to be built just north of Fort Sill. For the last two years, people and planners have been developing plans of expansion. The school district was in preparation for another expansion, after having completed several new projects on campus to meet their growing needs. Businesses moving into the area. It was prime and ready to go on a running start. BUT OH NO.........................................WE DON'T HAVE THE $$$ TO SUPPORT THIS PROJECT. I don't know what Gates' rationale on this, but I am betting him and his leftist government buddies don't have a clue how many people they have hurt. Home builders were working around the clock making new homes on the west side that may never have a resident now because of this mess. I mean, literally, our government has it's head up it's own butt. That's all I got to say because they have made me mad and further betrayed a lot of people that were looking forward to welcoming more people to this small part of paradise.

Here is the article as told by KSWO Channel 7, Lawton, OK:
Defense Secretary recommends canning Elgin cannon

Posted: April 6, 2009 08:21 PM

Elgin_After weeks of speculation, the cancellation of an advanced cannon to be built in Elgin is confirmed. U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates recommended the Non-Line-of-Sight cannon--or NLOS--project be scrapped. The cannon was set to be assembled in Elgin by BAE Systems.

Mayor Larry Thoma said he expected this decision for a few days, but it doesn't soften the blow. "We're disappointed," Thoma said. "We'd had high hopes it'd come to fruition and it's not going to."

The NLOS cannons meant new jobs in Elgin. Those are now scrapped, and Thoma says that's not the only negative of canning the cannons. "It's a detriment to the Army. Their systems are old and by doing so, they've taken a useful tool away from the United States Army. Our Army deserves better, and so it's a disappointment."

The cannons were part of a Future Combat Systems program, supported by Senator Jim Inhofe of Oklahoma, a senior member of the Senate Armed Service Committee. Inhofe is visiting troops in Afghanistan, but uploaded a video statement to youtube.

In the video, Inhofe said "I can't believe what we heard today. Here we are in Afghanistan. Right now, we have our men and women in uniform in harm's way, and we hear an announcement we're cutting, and I would say gutting, our military." Inhofe said he will work to stop these cuts, saying "the Obama administration has put forth a budget to disarm America." He says Congress cannot, and must not simply go along. "This is unprecedented for our country. You would think right now at a time of war, that we're cutting the military budget. It's going to be a very difficult thing to do. We're increasing the surge in Afghanistan, right here, the numbers are going to increase, yet we're cutting the budget."

Thoma says he talked with BAE officials Monday and they still plan to come to Elgin. They intend to build another self-propelled cannon, the Paladin PIM. "We're still optimistic that in time, they're still gonna be rolling Howitzers out of Elgin," Thoma said. "It will just be a different system."

Thoma says the military is a key reason for the success of the economy in southwestern Oklahoma. He says he is still optimistic to working with BAE and looks forward to continued economic growth.

If I was put into power as the leader of the U.S. of A, here would be my plan!

As I am sure many of you who do read my blog on a regular basis will find out that you know how conservative and how much I value integrity. With what is written and said in the paper and news media on TV and radio as well, I can see the anger of the American people as a whole. However, our Congress does not resonate the true voice of the people.

After talking to many of my friends in different places and listening to their worries and concerns, it saddens me on the current direction we are headed as a nation. Taking after a World Net Daily column from Chuck Norris back during the election, here is what my platform would be should the Lord had put me in office after He removes Obama. Understand this: What I have in front of you is a HYPOTHETICAL scenario after a worst-case plot run by the Obama administration. Here are my agendas and goals for my administration:

The whole set of plans I have would take an effort by the government and by the people. It is time that the elected people be true servants and to do what is right. "United we stand, divided we fall". We fell during the Obama administration as a result of our collected incompetency. No longer it is about who is the best speaker or who can "promise change you can believe in", it's about who has the ability to enact action and "git er done!" It will take people who will follow through on the task and duty on hand.

I would see to it that our country would re-establish itself as a moral beacon not only to ourselves, but to others around the world. I firmly believe that if we follow the Bible as a nation as a whole, then we can be more blessed as a nation as a result of giving credence to the Creator. In the Bible, it is shown how mighty Israel was when they had the Lord with the most reverence. We also see her downfall as well when they turned their back on the Lord. Because of our backsliding and internal defeat, it is the Lord who we can turn to as a people, repent, and vow to make it right before Him. It will take all of us to help make this right.

One of my first acts in office is to re-establish strong relations with the nation of Israel. I would meet with their prime minister, the Knesset, and all Israeli military commands to tell them that I am truly sorry for how the government of the US had turned it's back on Israel in times when Israel needed our help. I also would mandate to do whatever it takes to help Israel get back whatever land that was unrightfully ceded by the pressures of the international community, especially the U.S. through diplomatic actions and routes. Whenever the U.S. government has put pressure to have Israel give up land for peace or to publicly admonish Israel for her defensive tactics in war, some part or parts of this nation underwent some form of calamity that wound up costing us billions in damages within 24-72 hours.

I would select judges who have a track record of upholding the Constitution with a keen knowledge to decipher what is right and wrong. I will select judges who will overturn Roe vs. Wade and would behoove Congress to pass a measure saying that abortion is ABSOLUTELY without equivocation, is murder that should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

I want to see to it that legislation is on my desk stating that marriage is "one man, one woman." It's not that it's my belief that it should be that way; it's the Biblical design for marriage. I do not believe that homosexuals should have any "rights" other than to be loved and treated with respect. "Love the sinner, hate the sin." Whereas those who do that lifestyle can choose what they desire, then so be it. However, it is not me or the laws of this land that they will answer to, but the Judgement Throne Room would be a very scary place for those who don't repent of their distasteful ways.

I will swear to uphold every Constitutional right that is given to every American citizen. Because of the constant violation of our rights done under the Obama administration, including the taking away of our guns and the right to bear arms, those rights must be reinstated for our own individual protection.

Because of the harsh lessons learned from our downfall, here is what I would suggest: stiffer penalties for breaking the laws. Laws such as committing two or more murders will result in the death penalty; chemical castration for men who committ sexual crimes against children. Harsh? Yes, they are, but we can no longer bear a society of tolerance. If we can make it clear that who break the laws, then those who commit crimes should be jailed. I would see to it that there is a higher degree of accountability in our justice system, and should anybody be imprisoned wrongfully that they stand trial and be punished for their treachery.

I will see to it that there are term limits in Congress. If they can pass an amendment to put term limits on a President to two terms, then they should hold themselves accountable to the same measures as they did for the President. With this measure, it would help that to keep this country competitively fresh and to help strengthen our resolve within the lawmaking body and to lessen the circular influence that lobbyist groups had on long time power players in Congress. Within two years, most House and Senate seats will be up for grabs as a result of the passage. We must hold accountability in all forms of government to the highest degree because ultimately, we answer to the people that elected us and in the end, answer to Jesus for our happenings during our time on Earth.

With oil being a serious issue in today's world, we really need our own national supply of oil and petroleum. Having our own supply will wean us off from funding for oil outside of our borders that support terrorist regimes. I would open up more off-shore drilling to help pump more oil into our nation. Also, opening up ANWR in Alaska and the large section of federally protected land in northwestern Colorado, northeastern Utah, and southwestern Wyoming would be a boon for not only oil production, but also for wind production as well. Oil companies will also be accountable to making sure that they keep their sites as clean as possible and to help restore the area to it's natural use long after drilling and pumping oil there has commenced. This movement would also create more jobs for Americans who do need work. This would help us bridge the gap until we can create new travel technology for the auto and airplane industries, amongst other industries that do depend on the use of oil on an every day basis.

I would also exhort Congress to pass legislation to help increase our need for energy. With that in mind, I would propose that several nuclear plants to be built during my time in office. Not only do I believe that having nuclear energy would help boost the energy output needed for a growing nation, BUT I am encouraged that it can help us in another sector that I am extremely encouraged about. In late 2008, I saw on Youtube a hydrogen powered car by Honda that caught my attention. With the addition of a report by former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, now head of American Solutions that suggested that we use the nuclear power plants to generate the hydrogen that can be used to mass produce for the market for our nation, and you got a nation reborn and reignited passion because these two things will help us be better for future generations. This will also enable the auto industry to recover from their dramatic drop in sales in the end of the first decade of the 21st century. I can imagine now that cars are getting an equivalent of 70 to 100 mpg while pickups are getting 40 to 50 mpg (my favorite dually quad cab trucks are getting 25 to 35 mpg).

One of the key hallmarks that I will aim to accomplish in my administration and would hope and pray future Presidents will follow suit until it is finished is the repay our national debt in full. At the time during the Obama administration's first 100 days, our national debt would cost each citizen $36,387. It has now climbed up closer to the $70,000 range as a result of a power hungry government that had absolutely zero fiscal restraint and responsibility. Before inauguration, I would be asking for a copy of our country's fiscal standing and start strategically a solid direction to help our country be healthy and strong again. Also, there will be massive tax cuts that created a ball-and-chain effect on our economy would be eliminated, while cutting down on the federal income tax rate at a flat 33% rate to all U.S. individual taxpayers, regardless of income.

Business taxes would be cut to a reasonable degree to where they can do business again and to contribute to the economy. Budget cuts would also occur for those programs that have zero benefit to the American people, programs that were promoted but failed under the Obama administration due to their abuse of government-given power that was objected by the majority. There will be no new taxes in my administration because we have been a people that have labored hard and been rewarded with nothing back for our work. Government programs that were told by the previous administration as "good" to the people turned out to be disastrous. In turn, it is time to dissolve them. It is time to give credit where credit is due, not to "spread the wealth".

As a man who grew up as a son of an agriculture teacher, I understand the vast importance that agriculture plays in our society. Without agriculture, we sure wouldn't have food at the table every night! I would implement programs that would make our agriculture programs as a whole a more productive unit. As an agriculturalist, I would ask for legislation to be on my desk to see it being signed into law to help land to be further protected to be farm land to help grow crops. We can not see to it that land that is suitable for crops to be taken up for use of residential or commercial development. Now understand this: we can not make land that we don't have to make the crops we need to feed the people. If you take the land away, then that land is taken up and can not be used again. On the other hand, I would also want measures taken to help build more reservoirs to contain water so we can expand our water supply, especially in areas where water is a scarce commodity.

I believe that freedom does not come without a cost. My grandfathers fought in WW II and one helped rebuild Nagasaki. I also had friends who fought in Afghanistan and Iraq and a cousin who serviced B-52 bombers. I never served in the military, but growing up near Fort Sill, I have always had a high degree of the respect for our men and women who serve in our military. I do believe that we should defend ourselves from foreign enemies, but our greatest threat is to our southern border with Mexico. Because of the lawless drug cartels who control the border towns and Mexican states, I will see to it that ever mile of our southern border is 1.) Properly reinforced with stop-gap measures preventing incursions of illegals who try to come to the U.S. and 2.) Place more than sufficient security patrol measures on every mile of our border to the south.

I would see to it that our education system is revamped. I would see to it that teachers could once again be empowered to be teachers and believe in the education system once again. We repeal such laws passed by the lobbying efforts of the ACLU that contributed to the reduction on ways to discipline children. We need to give more power back to the people because government in people's lives is the answer; because we saw big government run amuck and unaccounted for.

I would re-enact Executive Order 11110, which President John F. Kennedy signed that would deal away with the power elite known as the Federal Reserve Commision. Since the Federal Reserve IS NOT connected to the U.S. government, it has as much constitutional power at Federal Express: zero. I would see to it that our own government is printing the money and having control on what is going on with our country's economy, within reasonable measure.

I would select men to provide counsel to me on certain issues based on experience in that field, what their past history has shown, and what type of character that each person presents. I would welcome Christian leaders whom I have trust and respect for to come visit me and provide wise words in their area of ministry expertise. Men like Franklin Graham, James Dobson, and Bill Johnson would be welcomed to visit. Also, close friends of mine whose name I won't repeat on here would be invited as well. On the national side of things, I would see to it that there will be no earmarking for "special interest groups" or projects that will not benefit people. There will be no "stimulus" or "pork spending" under my administration. We are not the lottery, Wheel of Fortune, or Jeopardy.

I would also welcome people of different venues such as entertainment, news, and sports. I would encourage the directors and movie companies in Hollywood to make films that would help enhance our image for a better America. The news media has taken a sharp hit over the past several years because of their slanted, agenda-driven coverage for Obama and covering for his mishaps and mistakes. Only Fox News escaped has escaped the ravaging ire of the American people in years past. NBC lost it's power due to the downfall of General Electric, who owns NBC and its media conglomerate. The Turner Group (CNN, TBS, and TNT) lost it's support because of the outrage against it's owner, Ted Turner. CBS has lost almost all it's company due to it's downfall as well. Only ABC was able to survive as a result of it's massive sell offs of it's Disney and ESPN assets through the Go Network. As a result of the sell offs, ABC had to revamp itself to being a network for the people. Right now, there are only two major networks that are available to the public, but other smaller networks like the Christian Broadcasting Network, the Discovery network (Discovery, History, and National Geographic), and other minor networks continue to thrive due to their non-political agenda given to it's viewers.

Sports wise, I would love to sit down and talk with the commissioners of the major professional sports whose stars have a huge following from our country's people. Not so much to instigate policies for their sports, but to know that we are supporting them as long as they do not abuse the laws and standards that they will be held accountable to.

I will run a no BS administration. Men like Gen. Petraeus will be heading up the Defense Department. Dave Ramsey and Steve Forbes will be heads of my Treasury Department. Mike Huckabee would be my Secretary of State. I will not accept a salary during my time of office nor accept money from groups. That salary would be donated to Christian charities to help out those who are less fortunate. I won't be buying $100/pound steaks flown in from Japan to feed my buddies during Super Bowl parties at the White House; I'll buy beef from cattlemen I know and trust that their beef is great. There won't be no Jonas Brothers or Britney Spears singing at White House engagements; but rather people like George Strait, Brad Paisley, Chris Tomlin, and Third Day would be welcomed, amongst many artists I have respect for. Men like Red Steagall, Baxter Black, and Don Edwards would be accomodated to tell others stories from the Old West. Comedians like Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy would be providing us with nights of laughter.

During my first 100 days in office, there will be meetings to leaders of different sectors of our national life to come together and iron out the wrongs and help fix what has been broken. I will reach out to see we are moving forward, instead of running backwards like we have in years past. I desire to see to it that the American people are empowered. The more jobs there are and the more people we can get to work, the better off we are going to be.

Because I believe in the Lord Almighty, His provisions, and His laws, I desire to see my country going in the right direction and to have things done the right way. Because of taking our nation back to its moral foundations and re-establishing the 10 Commandments at the steps of the Supreme Court, amongst other things, would be a wonderful start into a glorious path. I can personally envision that there are better days ahead under my leadership, because I have a vision. We will see weather being less disastrous. We can see weather patterns return to a better balance, more rainfall in agricultural areas to help restore our soil much like the rain that happened in December 1939, when our nation was recovering from its worst recorded drought during the Dust Bowl era. I believe in a sovereign nation, but I also believe in working with other nations who uphold the same ideas of freedom and liberty. Together, we must take "ACTION" to get things done!

There is no such thing as a bailout!

I am not on here to talk about what's been dominating the news lately nor to criticize leaders. I am on here to talk about something on a personal level. I never thought I would see the day where I am in the chair I write this from. But from my vantage point, I see my financial situation as "it's time to pull yourself up by the bootstraps" time in my life. No longer will I desire to stay and live with my parents nor will I be accepting money from them. I will take whatever job I can get for now, plus work on my two side projects to bring in extra income. Once I get out of my debt, I will progress to move out of the house I am in and keep marching on, watching my dollar. I am not dependent on any government helping me out of my misery.

The Closings of an Era; The Hope for New Beginnings

As I am writing this, I am about to head to Munday to pick up my belongings and take them to Lubbock. While doing this, it's running parallel to another era in my life. I enjoyed my time in Munday and it's helped me be the person I am today. On the other hand, when the Lord closes one door and opens another, we must move on. On the other hand, only recently have I reached to finality of moving on from my personal experiences dealing with the people I was involved with at Sterling High School in Sterling, Oklahoma.

I am going to keep this brief and short. After trying to talk to a certain select few via email, Myspace, or seeing someone in life after encounters in public places, I have come to the end of the road in my personal wondering of what I did wrong to deserve the severe mistreatment and the trauma that has followed me like a mental victim for the last 15 years. One particular resident from Sterling may entirely disagree with what I have to say, but the least to say, that particular person would not be my friend today because he has no personal integrity as far as I am concerned. I am not judging this person wholly, but the fruits of this person does not resonate well with me. For that, I can not be in the company of fools. I have prayed about the issue a lot and a lot of times I got the sense to let it go. The Bible talks about us giving peace to others and if it's rejected, let it return to us. In this case, we should hold on to what is dear and to move on. If there are people from Sterling, Oklahoma that happen to read this blog through a search, then by all means read what I have to say. I am not one bit scared or intimidated what you can do to me. Period. I could say a million things on here about MOST of the people there, but at the end of the day, it won't do a bit of good to help either sides. I know what I say may sound harsh, but we can better ourselves from a personal and moral perspective. There is no sense in me carrying on the hurts and the grudges any longer. I have finally seen to it that those hurts are locked up in a sealed coffin plummeting towards the bottomless sea.

I have decided that 2009 will be a year of huge progress FORWARD. With that in mind, I have decided to put my best foot forward after living in reverse or fighting the tide for a while. With that being said, I have figured up the cost, time and finance wise, of what it takes to get things done. I have made a huge dent in my debt already and looking forward to finishing the debt by June. I also plan to move to Lubbock by that time to settle there. I am looking to get the jobs done on certain aspects of my life. 2009 is the year to get things finished. Finish what you started with a flourish!

I am back! And updates galore!

Hello again! After a LONG hiatus and numerous times of "I am going to write tonight", I have decided to brush up and let you know what's been going on since August and the numerous renovations to my official internet blog site.

First off, I got lot of things to say. The Bible says to give thanks to the Lord in all things, good and bad. So Lord Jesus Christ, thank you for a wonderful, blessed, and humbling year in the good and bad times. To be honest, it was my toughest year I have personally faced. Through the adversity, I have also seen success beyond what I have experienced before, especially in my roping. I was fortunate to have been more places and won more prize money in 2008 than in the years before combined.

I was able to work out at the wind mill farm east of here for 4 months. It was good to be able to pay for things and catch up on some bills that needed tended to. In other times, I been riding horses for dad and nearing the end of getting them ready to sell to others. It's a chapter I am looking to close the book on and progress to a new chapter in my life.

Besides prize money won, I also won a very beautiful belt buckle that I won on a Friday night in October. It is a Hy O Silver buckle, which is really hard to win since they are not mass produced and cost a few stiff Benjamins. Let's say I am probably more proud to wear this buckle than the USTRC buckle I won in Abilene due to one reason: it truly was a God-given buckle since I do credit Him for helping me with the win. It didn't look like I was going to do any good when I first started that night since nobody was catching anything. But towards the end of the first round of a 3 head roping, I was able to get the job done and I was the only header catching 2 head going into the short round. I wind up winning first and second, securing the buckle. It didn't come until the night before I was to go to Las Vegas for the World Series of Team Roping. I got it a week later after I came home and it hasn't been off my belt since. I enjoy wearing it because it's a bit smaller, plus it has a better fit too. I absolutely adore it.

I placed 5th in the consolation average of the #10 roping in Las Vegas. I missed my third steer which was a bad draw but got the last one caught. I was thankful I got my final one caught so I could come out ahead dollars wise. It was a great time to be in Vegas seeing the National Finals Rodeo live. The highlight of the week wasn't seeing lots of fancy dressed fashion folks at the Bellagio, Ferraris on Las Vegas Boulavard, or seeing family from California (which was a treat by the way), but an event at the breakfast table on the morning that I arrived. I was eating with my traveling partner along with another one of our friends and his wife and her associates for the Christmas Expo when I heard a conversation was going on just over my left shoulder. As I am chowing down, I couldn't ignore how audible the two gentlemen were, so I looked over to see who it was. I glanced at one of the fellas, who seem like someone I knew from somewhere. Then it hit me: it was pastor Steve Williams from Sherwood Baptist Chruch in Albany, Georgia. I know that may not ring a lot of bells but this would: he's the man that portrayed the wheelchair-bound father of the kicker of the football team on "Facing the Giants". I turned to our group and said "Hey ya'll, this guy was in a movie!" You should have seen everyone's look on their face like "What?" Nobody moved an inch. When I noticed him I looked at him and he turned and said "don't I know you from somewhere?" "Nope, but I seen you in the movie!" like a little kid. So me, Steve, and my two friends sat and talked with him for 10 minutes shooting the breeze and talking about the new movie "Fireproof" starring Kirk Cameron. It was the highlight of the week by a mile amongst many highlights.
